Perfect Portion Awards 2010 Opens!
It's official! The voting is open to find the best chips in Britain!
Nominate your favourite chippy, greasy spoon, restaurant, pub or cafe for a Perfect Portion Award. Cheggers will be presenting the awards during National Chip Week (15th - 21st of February) to our country's top fryers!

Frying Scotsman of Glasgow wins Chegger's Prize!
Sadly it’s the last day of my National Chip Wey-hek 2009 tour. However I couldn’t have wanted for a warmer welcome in a rather chilly Glasgow than I got from Bowie at Breakfast on Clyde 1 – thanks George! Then I caught up with MacAulay & Co over a cup of BBC Radio Scotland coffee before heading out to celebrate with John Scott and his very cheerful team at the Frying Scotsman in Knightswood. Photographers and film crews from the Scottish Sun, Clydebank Post and Glasgow Evening Times were waiting to record the momentous moment so watch out for me appearing in-paper and online.
What a great week! Not only have I visited some fantastic chippies, I’ve met lots of amazing chip lovers. Well done to all the Perfect Portion 2009 Award winners - I can’t wey-hait for next year!

Murgatroyds in Leeds wins Chegger's Award!
Thursday and it was Wey-est Yorkshire! Lucky old Leeds woke up to me and my chirpy chip tune live on 96.3 Radio Aire’s Logie’s Big Breakfast. Then it was a good old chinwag with Glenn Pinder at Magic 828 before heading over to congratulate James and Andy Chadwick at Murgatroyds in Yeadon. As usual I was met by a host of photographers this time from the Yorkshire Evening Post and Leeds Weekly News and the Real Radio Yorkshire news team. I then headed over to the National Media Museum in Bradford to catch-up with my old mate Paul Carrington from BBC Radio Leeds before starting a very snowey-hey drive up to Glasgow!

It's Friday Fish & Chips!
